Today we're talking about brows! Thick filled in brows have been around for a few years now and it doesn't look like they're going out of fashion anytime soon, which I'm very happy about! Today I thought I'd share with you how I fill in my brows, hope you enjoy!
Before I get started this post isn't sponsored by Catrice cosmetics, I just love their brow products!
Every few weeks when I'm tidying up my eyebrows with a tweezer I will brush them upwards and trim any hairs that are longer than the shape of my brow with that little pink nail scissors pictured above. This keeps me eyebrows very neat and easy to fill in. I've never had my brows shaped by a professional, I've always been too scared of it going wrong! Below is my personal brow routine, it's not extensive but it does the job!
1. Catrice Eyebrow Filler
When I first bought this product I only combed through my eyebrows with it going in the direction of hair growth. Recently I've found out that combing against the direction of hair growth is much more effective and makes my brows look fuller. Although I have dark hair and brows, my eyebrows aren't as full as I'd like them to be so every little helps!
2. Catrice Eybrow Set
Next I'll take an angled eyeshadow/eyeliner brush and fill in the inner parts of my eyebrows. This part nearest my nose is the most thin part of my brows so powder helps to fill them in really well. The angled brush is also brilliant for creating a defined shape.
3. Catrice Eyebrow Stylist
The third and final step of my brow routine is this eyebrow pencil. If I'm going out and have heavy eye make-up on and the steps above aren't enough I'll fill my brows in completely with this, using short strokes to mimic the hairs. But day to day I just use this pencil to define the outer point and arch of my brows. Then I use the brush on the end to comb through my brows ensuring there isn't any caking, that is not a good look!
