My favourite season of the year is back, hooray! Every year I convince myself that Summer is my favourite season and while I do love the sun and the long lazy days, you can't beat wrapping up in gloves and scarfs and the cosy nights in watching movies.
As October rolls around I get excited for the Costa festive menu (sad I know, but it's just so yummy), the yummy smelling candles like the Warm Apple Pie on burning on my desk above, starting to buy Christmas presents, warm fluffy slippers, the colours the leaves turn (I love the shades of burnt orange and brown), planning my Halloween outfit (apparently just wearing cat ears doesn't count) and most of all I love the clothes that come with the colder weather. Taking out my winter coats, scarfs, dresses, jumpers and boots makes me far too happy. Who knew the sight of tartan and chelsea boots could be so exciting?
I recently went through my wardrobe and realised I didn't have many warm wooly jumpers and that just won't do! Above are some jumpers I've bought recently and I've been wearing them non-stop as the weather has cooled down. They're all from my one and only true love, Penneys, and all were very reasonably priced, the most expensive being the one on top for just €15. The navy one, second from bottom was just €10 and it has a gorgeous cable knit. These are perfect to wear alone, or with collared shirts underneath for a more sophisticated look. I pair these jumpers with a pair of dark jeans, either my black leather jacket or khaki parker jacket and a pair of chelsea boots and a scarf to keep me warm and I'm good to go.
